I specialise in sourcing and curating antiques and works of art, with a particular interest in portrait miniatures, jewellery and selected ethnographic art and textiles.
I'm drawn to pieces that once formed part of everyday ritual, adornment, devotion or personal identity. They are never simply antiques to me. They are fragments of human lives.
Long before I became an antiques dealer, I studied Art History, made documentary films, and worked as an artist using archive photographs. Whether exploring stories or learning jewellery-making with Tuareg silversmiths in the Sahara, I found myself returning to the same questions.
Who were these people?
What did these objects mean to them?
How do they still speak to us?
Those questions have quietly followed me throughout my life.
Today I work with collectors around the world looking for unusual objects with genuine age, craftsmanship and presence. I am constantly exploring the art, symbolism and histories connected to the pieces I sell.
Every object I choose is selected not only for its beauty and craftsmanship, but because it asks a question worth exploring.
