An attractive and unusual free-blown blue glass novelty scent bottle or flask, decorated with white spiral pulled-thread trailing and clear applied rigaree edging.
Probably English and Nailsea-type in origin, dating to the mid-19th century, although possibly with earlier late Georgian origins.
The curled horn / cornucopia form is particularly appealing and displays beautifully under light. Retains its stopper.
A charming example of vernacular English art glass associated with the Nailsea tradition of combed and feathered decoration. Length with stopper 8cms or just over 3 ins. In perfect condition
